We’re just wrapping up our 2nd school week t’row and it’s been great so far. Well, except for a minor stuff up with my curriculum order…whoops-a-daisy…. but that’ll be rectified early next week. I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know that the kids are too disappointed that a couple of subjects didn’t arrive for them to start as yet.

After starting Maths nice and early today, we are heading off to have morning tea with an old school friend in an hour or so. I really do love that we’ve started these early starts with our school work, and that we always do Maths first. This subject is often the cause of much distress and frustration.. especially for Miss 13. She has no problems with her work itself, but she’s just in a phase of very time consuming maths.
I may run into a small issue soon as Master 11 is nearly caught up to the Maths level of Master 12… This will NOT go down well. :0(
I have, however, after searching most of last year, found suitable Art classes for Miss 13. She really is extremely talented, so I’m very happy to have her starting these classes fortnightly starting t’row. I can’t wait to see how her horizons will expand with stretching her own skills and perfecting new ones.
We have a busy sport year this year with all 3 kids sighing up for soccer this year. I think Saturdays are going to be very interesting… and while we’ll enjoy the season, I think we’ll also love it when it ends. LOL. I do think it’ll be great family time together though, as it was last year. Master 12 has dropped cricket this year in order to do Soccer. Miss 13 is still doing Physie, which she LOVES !!!
Our Maths Tutor and Music classes have also begun for the year, which is great !! I do quite like the routine of everything being on the calendar and set for each week. :0)
We have just a few weeks back made the move to a new church. This was a decision not made lightly and not without a great amount of prayer, thought and consultation/confirmation first. I really don’t like the term ‘church hopping’, so particularly don’t like coming under it (or being accused of it), but I also need to follow God’s leading at all times. I had been resisting it for quite a few months, which is never a good thing. I’ll certainly be making more effort to STAY in tune with His will at all times… and not go off on my own tangent.
I was very adamant to not make this decision based on anything ‘logical’ or ‘practical’. Yes, this new church has a great youth group, great worship & teaching, we know several people there, serves great coffee (LOL), but I’m pleased to say that I only knew about the Youth group & great teaching before making the decision. LOL.
The kids all had their first night at Youth Group last Friday night, and it was a resounding success, with all 3 kids jumping in the car saying “That youth group is THE BEST!!” :0)
I also love that God’s word ALWAYS has instruction on EVERY decision we need to make, or any struggle that we come up against.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8.
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Proverbs 14:12
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!” Matthew 17:5

(Plus loads more !!! )

I also love that I can seek great guidance from others, but also have the discernment to know who’s counsel to take on and who’s to leave. I am extremely thankful for the teaching I have been able to sit under in the last 3yrs at LH. I shudder to think where I would be in my walk with The Lord had I not been under that teaching for that time. Thankful & Blessed, to say the very least !! :0)

OK… enough from me for the day
Blessings peeps !!! :0)
